It all started at Raceway Park in Englishtown, New Jersey. Back in the early 2000s, the original Club Loose wasn't just an event. It was the center of the universe for a new kind of driving. This was the birthplace of the Bros to Pros philosophy, where guys who would eventually become legends in the sport first learned how to rub doors.
At the heart of that scene was the Bloodmasters crew. John Wagner and his teammates weren’t interested in car shows or slow paced parking lot meets. They were about all out commitment, high speed tandems, and a complete disregard for body panels. The Bloodmasters brought a specific, aggressive energy to Englishtown that redefined East Coast drifting. They proved that if you had a roll cage, a set of tires, and enough guts, you could push a car further than anyone thought possible.
By 2011, John Wagner decided it was time to take that Jersey grit and move it to into a new area. He saw the potential in Western Pennsylvania and realized the drivers there needed the same professional grade grassroots infrastructure that made Englishtown the Greatest Place on Earth.
We officially kicked off as Club Loose II at Beaverun, which most people now know as Pitt Race, in Wampum. We started on the skidpads, teaching local drivers how to break old habits and actually link a course the right way. As the skill level climbed, we needed bigger challenges, which eventually led us to Midvale Speedway. Those high banked ovals at Midvale became the ultimate test of heart. The banks don't lie. You either stayed on the wall or you went home with a shorter car. It was the perfect environment to cement the CL2 legacy of high intensity, no nonsense drifting.
Over the last twenty years, the tracks have changed, but the people at the helm haven't. We are still run by the same drivers who were there on day one in the Jersey pits. Our goal remains exactly what it was two decades ago: to provide the most seat time possible while keeping the technical standards high so everyone stays safe and keeps their cars on the track.
We aren't here to hold your hand, but we are here to make sure you get good. Whether you’re just starting out in Group C or you’re part of the Group A chaos, you’re part of a family that’s been doing this since the very beginning.
Go drifting or go to hell.
